Knowing Jesus

How do we become a Christian (saved): So simple. We recognize our sinfulness and call upon Jesus Christ to be the Savior or our life; truly believing in Him.The very act of believing means that God has applied His wonderful grace and faith to you.  For there is absolutely nothing anyone can do, in works or actions, to obtain salvation.  It comes purely from the love and grace of God who even supplies the faith to believe.  Jesus took away our sin, past, present and future.  When we are saved, we are changed into His likeness and sealed by His Spirit; we are to trust Him for every need to be supplied in our life.  Our hope is heaven-ward!  Yes, this world is not our home!  We are on our way Up!  Eternity is bright and glorious.  The Gospel of Good News, is almost too good to be true Good News.

God’s simple plan of salvation: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23. For the wages (what we deserve) of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:2. But God commendeth (freely gives) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. Except ye repent (Turn from our old ways), ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10We become a new creation in Christ.

A simple prayer in faith believing:
Dear Lord Jesus; I believe that you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins.  You died and were buried and rose again.  I confess and repent of my sins.  Forgive me, cleanse me, and create a new heart and life in me.  I receive you now as Savior and Lord of my life.  Thank you for this gift of salvation and eternal life. Fill me with your Spirit. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
